How to Play
Tap the glowing target as fast as you can โ it starts dim and only counts as a hit once it "readies up" and brightens. Every successful hit adds time back to the clock (+0.45s, up to a 20s cap), so quick, accurate taps keep the round alive. You can also use the Spacebar to hit the active target, or Enter to start or restart.
Tips
- Tapping a target before it's ready costs 0.8 seconds โ more than the 0.6s penalty for letting one expire, so don't rush the very first frame it appears.
- Targets bounce around the play area, so track their movement and lead your tap instead of chasing where they currently are.
- Chain hits quickly to keep extending the clock โ a good run snowballs, since more time means more chances to score.
- Target size varies (roughly 26โ40px radius); the smaller ones demand tighter accuracy, so stay locked in even after a string of easy hits.
About Reaction Target
Reaction Target is a free online reaction test game that measures how quickly you can react to visual cues under real time pressure. Targets appear, wander around the screen, and glow when they're ready to be tapped, all while a short clock counts down toward zero.
Unlike a simple reflex tester, this game punishes impatience โ tapping too early costs more time than missing entirely, rewarding controlled, accurate reactions over pure speed. With no fixed round length, a strong run can stretch on as long as you keep landing hits, making your saved high score a genuine measure of sustained reaction speed.
