How to Play
Choose a level from 1 to 10 — each one unlocks after you clear the level before it, and features longer, harder words. Type the falling word exactly as shown; a correct match clears it automatically, or press Enter to submit. You have 3 lives per attempt — letting a word fall off the bottom of the screen costs a life, and clearing 30 words completes the level.
Tips
- Longer, harder words score more (word length × 10, plus a difficulty bonus), so a big word on screen is your best scoring opportunity, not something to panic over.
- Multiple words can fall at once — prioritize whichever one is closest to the bottom, since that's the one about to cost you a life.
- Press Enter after typing to clear your input instantly, even on a typo — it's faster than manually deleting a mistake mid-word.
- Level 1 uses simple 3-letter words like "cat" and "sun," while Level 10 throws 12+ letter words like "communication" and "infrastructure" — replay an easier level to build score, or push forward to unlock new vocabulary.
About Word Drop
Word Drop is a free online typing game that combines fast-reflex gameplay with vocabulary practice. Words fall from the top of the screen at increasing speed and length as you climb through 10 difficulty levels, and it's your job to type each one correctly before it reaches the bottom.
Each level tracks its own high score and gives you 3 lives, so you can grind a level you've already cleared for a better score, or push into new levels to unlock progressively longer and more advanced words. It's a fun way to sharpen typing speed and accuracy while testing how far your vocabulary and reflexes can take you.
